Boddington’s Blue Karramaboo

“These brightly coloured ruminants graze the lowlands during the summer months, making the most of the abundant grasses and shrubs. For the onset of winter they grow a shaggy coat and head for the mountains where they subsist on any mosses or vegetation that can be gleaned from beneath the snowbound slopes. In the spring they once more return to lower altitudes. Having moulted, their blue pelt is scraped off on rocks and branches on the way; these remnants provide valuable nesting material for the Groochie birds who use it to line their nests.”
